Scrubbing *
Layer by layer,
Stroke by stroke
The Colors removed
What is left to live
But a walking corpse!
You scrubbed me clean
Stripped me naked
To what depth
For what purpose
Just to fulfill my role
My responsibility
As a woman?
You
Cemented feelings to my heart
Blasted hearing to my soul
So
I can do as you command
To what price I must pay
To live up to that reign
That I,
A woman must know how to
Cook, do housework, gardening,
Take care of the family
Nurse their broken spirit
Put food on the table
A
t the very same time
I must be Strong
Against all tides
I must be Silent
Against any complaints or anger
I must be Super
Against all storms
Yet
Not an ounce less of that vital spirit
Nor an inch short of that insurmountable strength
When I
As a woman does not know how to
Cook or do housework!
I am weak
So I sit down and have a good cry
I am vocal
About my dislikes and temperament
I am human
Who make mistakes intermittently!
For
I am who I am
As many colors as you can see
Whichever color on me that day
Does not need to be
Scrubbed or enhanced
The perfect color that the Lord
Shines on this gem to
Radiate
Its combust energy to
Warm you
To
Revive your little spark
Just enough to make you realize
You too
Have that perfect colors inside
Are just as precious as can be!
Let her shine
Let her live
Let her be You!
